Behaviour Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to provide a clear guidance to students, staff, parents/carers and other stakeholders about the expectations of the school with regard to behaviour management and the strategies used to maintain and promote an effective learning environment within the lessons, around school and whilst participating in offsite educational visits.

Sixth Form Behaviour Expectations

Thamesview expects all who attend Sixth Form to behave within an ethos of mutual respect and are considered as young adults who should set a model of good behaviour for other students. We expect students to make informed choices about their conduct and meet all Sixth Form expectations. A student may lose their place in Sixth Form if expected standards of behaviour, attendance or punctuality are not met. This includes punctuality, attendance and behaviour during Form Time.

Punctuality and Attendance*

  • Truancy from lessons to be sanctioned with a one hour after school detention

  • Laptops are provided to students by the school and students are required to sign an ‘Equipment Loan Agreement’
