The curriculum is designed to develop students in the core subjects throughout KS3 and KS4 with other subjects developing skills within students that encourage them to be open minded, knowledgeable and confident. We look to develop students holistically through our curriculum to try to create broad and balanced learners.

Parents’ Guides to The New 1-9 GCSEs
The DfE has produced a powerpoint presentation for schools to use to help parents understand the qualifications reform programme. It is designed to be used both in meetings with parents and to be placed on school websites. It will also be of use in discussions with governors and local employers. This powerpoint is attached separately and an introduction is given below.

Many teachers will be preparing for the reforms to GCSEs and A levels from September 2015, including English and mathematics GCSEs and a number of subjects at A level.

Awarding organisations have also published a range of materials to support schools and colleges and are hosting seminars for subject teachers. Further support is available from the key subject associations.
