PD Welfare Assistant

Required for an immediate start

33.3 hrs per week (5 days a week)

Term time only - 39 wks per year (including Staff Development Days)

Kent Range 3, Point 7 – Point 8 £17,365 to £17,411 pa

Pro rata £13,230.68 to £13,265.72 pa

Plus SEN Allowance of £1,274.00 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a passionate member of support staff who will join a team of Welfare Assistants to work closely with and support the needs of physically disabled (PD) students.

The post holder will be required to support PD students both in the classroom and within the PD area with their learning and welfare needs in order to maximise their levels of achievement and independence. Experience of dealing with students’ welfare therefore is essential and the post holder will be required to undertake moving and handling training.

PD Welfare Assistant Job Description

Learning Support Assistant

27.92 hours a week (5 days)

Term time only - 39 wks per year (including Staff Development Days)

Kent Range 3, Point 7 – Point 8 £17,365 to £17,411 pa

Pro rata £11,093.11 to £11,122.49 pa

FIXED TERM CONTRACT OF UP TO 1 YEAR – BASED ON FUNDING AND SCHOOL/STUDENTS NEEDS

TO BE REVIEWED AND POTENTIALLY EXTENDED AT THE END OF THE PERIOD

A professional and adaptable person is required to work across subject areas, to proactively support students with their learning and welfare needs in order to maximise their levels of achievement and independence. It would be an advantage to have experience of working in a similar post or school setting and a level 3 Diploma or equivalent is essential.
