Mixing practical study with classroom learning, T Levels are a sixth form qualification equivalent to 3 A Levels. T Levels are 2-year courses which are taken after GCSEs and are broadly equivalent in size to 3 A Levels. Launched in September 2020, these courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and education providers so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for entry into skilled employment, an apprenticeship or related technical study through further or higher education. T Levels offer students practical and knowledge-based learning at a school or college and on-the-job experience through an industry placement of at least 315 hours – approximately 45 days. They include a 45-day work placement. As part of our fundraising for World Mental Health Day, we are holding a raffle and have some fabulous prizes up for grabs! Raffle tickets on sale at break and lunchtimes from Thursday 9th!  Draw for prizes will take place the following Thursday October 16th.

This week Thamesview School has shown support of the celebration of Black History Month with a group of students leading assemblies each day this week alongside Mr Binns. The students wrote their own powerful poems and shared these with their peers. The theme for Black History Month UK 2025 is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride” celebrating the resilience and contributions of the Black community. We are incredibly proud of our students coming together to build a culture of community and belonging within our school whilst also raising awareness for equality and diversity. https://www.blackhistorymonth.org.uk/

World Mental Heath Day We are holding a poster competition, 'wear something yellow day' and a bake sale on the Friday 10th October to raise money for the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund and Young Minds mental health charities. Join us by wearing something yellow with your uniform, designing a poster or bringing some cash for the cakes! On this day, students will be allowed to wear yellow accessories, such as hair ties, socks, ties, with their normal school uniform. Please note that the core uniform, including blazers or jumpers, shirts, skirts, trousers, and school shoes or the standard PE Kit must still be worn on this day. We are encouraging students who wish to participate in the wearing of yellow accessories to contribute a donation of 50p to £1 on the day.
