28th September - 50th Anniversary and school closure

Dear Parents/Carers

Re:         Friday 28th September 2018

On Friday 28th September the school will be closed to students to enable us to open our doors and celebrate Thamesview School reaching the 50th Anniversary milestone, albeit in a different building.

The first part of the morning will be designated for local primary schools to come along and see what happens in a “big school” and take part in some activities across the school. Then from 12pm until

3pm the school will be open to ex-students and the local community, again we will have some activities taking place which you will be able to watch or participate in, as well as a tour of the new building if you have not been in the new building before.

At 3:30pm there will be a football match on the front pitch, between ex-students and staff, with the legend that is Bob Frame refereeing, giving us an opportunity to applaud Mr Frame’s fantastic contribution to education at Thamesview School.

Please be aware that only current students who have been invited to help on the day, or who are accompanied by adult ex- students or parents will be allowed on site during this day.

We look forward to seeing on you the day. Kind Regards

Paul Ferguson
