6th Form

Thamesview 6th form is a vibrant and exciting addition to our school. We have been designated as an International Baccalaureate World School after a rigorous and challenging verification process. We deliver the IBCP (career related programme) which gives students a blend of career related option, with academic focus through the IB diploma subjects. All students select a BTEC level 3 national Diploma which is the equivalent to 2 A Levels, combined with 2 IB diploma subjects at either Higher Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL). Along with this the 6th form students complete the IB core program which includes Personal and Professional Skills, Language development and Service learning. This is what sets our course apart from others. Students are developed as ‘rounded’ individuals ready for the world of work, or University courses, where Universities have shown that IB students tend to be more successful.

There is also a whole host of other opportunities for students in the 6th form ranging from trips to careers fairs, meetings with local business mentors, personalised career progression routes (which for the majority will include University applications) and a trip to Italy to support the Language development section.

We hope that you are interested in joining our 6th form, and if you are please have a look at the other sections of our 6th form page.
